Towing or Roadside Assistance coverage, when added to your auto policy, is an inexpensive way to avoid large expense for a towing issue. The insurance companies typically cover dispatching a tow truck for a flat tire, car not starting, run out of gas and lock keys in car. The cost for the 6 month coverage may be $15/car(often less if multiple cars on a policy) other times more. Insurance companies like Safeco and Progressive link to a national towing service, the service can dispatch a tow truck within 1 hour to almost anywhere is the U.S.....assuming a weather event has not caused poor road conditions or tow command center does not have heavy volume of calls.
If you do not belong to a tow service(AAA), have an extended warranty providing the tow service or have a new car still in warranty with towing this is a great alternative. For more information contact Flanigan Insurance at 314-727-6000.
