With the spring in full motion in Midwest this 2019, I can bet there will be a a few calls about trees. The way it works in insurance, if a tree falls on a home/fence/structure from a storm it's the damaged homes problem rather than the tree owners. Some neighborly people will insist on splitting th cost.
If I go out a cut a tree down and it falls on neighbors fence/shed/car then it's my fault; however, if the limb/tree simply falls in storm it' unfortuanately the damaged property owners issue.
Hope this helps, any further questions please contact Flanigan Insurance at 314-727-6000
