I have personally experienced the nuisance of wasps, carpenter bees etc to home. Carpenter bee damage simply is NOT covered by homeowner policies. Best way to combat the carpenter bee, besides badminton racquet, is hanging carpenter bee trap. These can be found on line, then dusting or spraying hole using little tin foil pushed into hole and refilling the bee hole with a wood filer and repainting. Be sure you push wood filer all the way into the bee channel. I have head of the carpenter bee destroying wood decks. Researching on the internet has been helpful, apparently the bee may return to same hole. Hope this tip helps, please call Flanigan Insurance Agency @ 314-727-6000 if you would like an auto, home, flood or life insurance quote.
